An inclination towards the arena of the archaic

The archaic vs the contemporary
is a side some find they are placed on or gravitate towards
stemming from a variety of things
from monikers

to forms of conversant
but what are the tales
of traits of both sides
one can sense an aroma of alienation and yet a hint of distinction
forming individualism

or is it
for the arguments
sometimes bread from nostalgia
and the lost of certain qualities
and the dislike of their replacements
i recently read a post saying the text message will never replace the love letter


but it got me thinking did someone say that previously about the poem
 when love letters were the in thing over tonal resonance
and that they do not get replaced
but become niche
but could that be coming for prevalent forms
for is not the text message the love letter upon another medium
or the voice mail the spoken word on another medium
 and perhaps as with love letters
these sms messages will also be archived in museums

but is the question here about the new forms
but the hyper sensationalism
surrounding them
and the bandwagon syndrome
accompanied with the in thing

and the undertones of a written love letter
compared to the sms
for the time and care and direct personalisation
of a hand written letter
from the ink splatter
the way the person crosses tees
and dots the i
or loops the j or y or p or q
or that they are into their culture
and not swept up by the rivers of current

and they are not the general run of the mill
but have some depth and are more well like than just being a brook
running towards the next fad

In my previous post i talked about reliance
and the archaic is normally
those balanced
and can survive in the two worlds postulated
one with electricity and one without

for some may see archaics as those against progression or anti technology
but really otherwise
for kids nowadays are always plugged in
where hence kids of yesteryear had to entertain themselves
and technology
such as books yoyos chess pieces where tools
which worked in conjuction
not the controlling function

which is the balance i was on about in the last post

what would you do if you could only use electricity for an hour a day

could you cope

or would you think you would be a better person
because distractions would be gone

i will leave you to mull that over

Balance

A word understood but yet overlooked
synonymous with equilibrium
it is preached but not always followed
for i fear balance is not always taught
for balance is like air it can be forgotten
and fade into the background
but once it is removed the importance is seen
when you picture balance
scales and see saws spring to mind
but its not just felt on the immediate material
which was seen with the obesity rise
and the then calls for balanced diets
but as i said balance can fade into the background
for sometimes the things that balance us do also
for what use is a ship without an anchor
i was reminded about the importance of balance whilst playing football on the weekend
the team i ended up on unfortunately
just comprised itself of attacking players
but what is attack without defence
i love the quote that we have two ears and yet one mouth

some people are balanced as some are not
some are prepared for anything
and others just go with the flow
though arguments against either can arise
but together they work perfectly
for the meticulous can be slow to act and over cautious
but the other to risky lackadaisical and rash
the bipedal
brains and brawn
for you cannot bulldoze everything
and you cannot wait everything out
which is shown great through teams
in football you need people to score you goals
but you need people to stop your team from conceding
and the balance makes a great team
for what use is a dull knife
balance is not always opposites or does not have to been see as such
but compliance
it reminds me of the graphic novel title
for the man who has everything
and what do you get them
for even those who seem to need no help
do need help
for there is no one that has everything
but there are people who do not need anything
you may know of someone who for you has unfathomable
amounts of skill or talent
and it could cause in you a sense of inadequacy
but it is not necessary
you may think what can you do
but sometimes it is about what you can not do
for every great team sports player who steals the limelight
there is a simple player who aides them
and sometimes it is as simple as bringing another viewpoint
example some people may favor one side of their body
right hand
right foot
etc
but remove the other and the drastic change is evident
you may not be able to draw or catch or rythm in time
but it is of considerable use
as an experiment
to try not using something
you rely not so heavily upon
like your left hand
your left foot
etc
and see how hard it is with the unbalance

Resourceful or Resourcefulless

Skill sets we all have them
we aren't always able to see them
or the importance of them
for lack of relation
for some skill sets work off
or with another skill set
i will produce two examples
slash three depending on your perception

the first is rogue
there are various incarnations
but for a brief over viewing description
so rogue is from off the pages of the fictional
but very lucrative x-men
comics
she is classified as a mutant
and is plagued by her inability
to touch another human being without them
passing out
causing her distress and to become a recluse
she thought of it as a curse
not understanding her powers per se
she was later introduced
to the x-men
who brought her in contact with others
like her self
and gave her training
and self esteem
she finds out her power
is assimilating any power and memory
of a human/mutant she touches
making her far from weak
but possibly the strongest
there is
a change in perception was needed
she had the powers of everyone
and yet no-one

next is nate ford
divorcee with a dead son
from a program called leverage
in an assembly
of a hitter a martial artist
a grifter an actress and con woman
a thief pretty self explanatory
a hacker
and then you get him the mastermind
the glue the adhesive which makes them greater
similar to batman
which i will go into on another date
for sometimes neglected for their lack of
immediate appeal
for the no brainer is braun over brains
superman over batman
which gives them their power
if they recognise it
 or cause them a recluse
ashamed of their gifts or powers
which ushers in a time for introspection

What place fits us reader and writer
for along with skill we need discernment
for ones rubbish is another ones treasure
so if you go away with something
go away thinking
of what you think of as rubbish or useless
and how might they be of more use
or what treasure lies in store
